🚨 Now Hiring: Cable Technician (Fiber and Copper)

📍 San Diego, CA 92121 | Type-Contract

We’re hiring a Fiber and Copper Technician to support structured cabling and network infrastructure projects in San Diego. If you have experience with fiber splicing, copper cabling, and field installation work — we want to hear from you!

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test singlemode and multimode fiber optic cables
• Perform fiber splicing , connectorization, and OTDR testing
• Route and manage structured fiber optic systems
• Install, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a copper cables
• Conduct copper certification testing using tools like Fluke testers
• Troubleshoot and repair both fiber and copper network issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
• Follow all safety guidelines and ensure industry compliance
• Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines.

✅ Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems)
• OR Bachelor’s in a non-technical field (e.g., Business, Humanities, Marketing) with 1+ year IT-relevant experience
• OR High School diploma or equivalent with 3+ years IT-relevant experience

💡 Preferred Qualifications:

• BICSI Level 2 or RCDD certification
• Structured cabling manufacturer certs (e.g., Systimax, Panduit) a plus

🔩 Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• No issues or fear of working on ladders or lifts
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Strong communication, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills.
