The Role

As an AMS Campus Recruiter, you will be supporting our client’s hiring goals for their internship programs through Universities and Diversity Networks. You will work directly with our client key stakeholder and also assist the team with additional administrative responsibilities. The role of the Campus Recruiter is to develop and deliver excellent recruitment services to the client. This will involve utilizing recruitment technology applications and managing end-to end processes to provide recruitment services for multiple business units.

Please note this will be five days a week onsite, Location Champaign , Illinois

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure that internship recruitment services are delivered.
  • Lead vacancy consultation discussions for our campus recruiting program with our client.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships within many business units and Assignment Leaders.
  • Responsible for the management of candidate relationships and their satisfaction with the candidate recruitment experience.
  • Conduct telephone screens and interviews, ensuring that all candidates submitted meet required quality standards for the programs.
  • Connecting with diversity-focused organizations (Chapters, Conferences, Student Groups).
  • Initiate, plan and attend networking events, office events and career fairs at the university.
  • Build diverse candidate pipeline of students across various program levels and business functions in support of the client’s diversity hiring initiatives
  • Track progress of candidate engagement and ensure all qualified internship opportunities are being considered
  • Track and analyze employee data in Excel to improve the employee experience and engagement
  • Manage onboarding process and assist employees with administrative tasks (i.e. software and equipment requests, payroll discrepancies, etc.)
  • Work cross-functionally with in-person, hybrid, and remote interns and other employees.
  • Provide a world-class candidate experience and provide timely communication and feedback throughout all stages of the interview process

Skills & Experience

  • 1- 2 years of experience in Early careers and Campus recruitment
  • Strong communication skills with attention to detail in a team environment
  • Strong oral and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of working to and meeting demanding targets and deadlines
  • Experience of screening and interviewing
  • Experience of managing/nurturing candidates through the full end-to-end recruitment
  • Experience of using recruitment technology and recruitment databases
  • Experience of developing and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Experience of influencing and persuading stakeholders to take a course of action
  • Experience of working with remote teams
  • Understanding of legislation affecting area of work (e.g. age discrimination, employment risks for contractors)
  • Expertise in various candidate sourcing strategies (e.g. web sourcing, networking, advertising and database searching)
  • A highly motivated individual who can take charge of their work and has a willingness to take on new challenges and multitask in a dynamic and fast paced environment
