Chief Investment Officer

The Chief Investment Officer is responsible for overall portfolio management and investment strategy for Revol One Financial.This includes approaching investment activities with a liability driven mindset as a means for supporting our growth strategy.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop the Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) to ensure Asset Liability Management (ALM) is optimized while considering risk and return expectations and product pricing including development of short- and long-term investment earned rate expectations
• Work with the primary investment manager / owner for coordination, monitoring, sourcing, and management of investment subadvisors
• Develop, support, and assess the overall hedging strategy as it relates to derivatives and hedging requirements
• Execute portfolio reviews to ensure performance targets as well as compliance requirements are met, including focus on attribution analysis, comparison to peers, and the related impact to tactical asset management decisions
• Develop liquidity management framework and operational execution process to manage liquidity needs
• Work across functions to ensure operational aspects of investment related processes are efficient and effective
• Work with ownership and management regarding business development opportunities to analyze opportunities, provide recommendations, and execute as needed
• Support the implementation of Enterprise Risk Management
• Understand and support capital management and work with actuaries to maximize capital efficiency and optimal usage in both the US and offshore regimes

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in finance, risk management, economics, or related fields

• 10+ years of experience in insurance related investing including understanding and executing SAA and ALM related activities

• Experience working with multiple asset managers and sourcing assets opportunistically

• Experience with hedging and derivative related activities

• Excellent communication skills (written & oral)

• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail

• Desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
