About the Role:

Ygnacio Valley Christian School is seeking a passionate and experienced educator to teach a 4th/5th grade combination class for the 2025–2026 school year. This position is ideal for someone who values Christian education, excels at differentiated instruction, and thrives in a close-knit school community.

Success in this role means fostering academic excellence, building strong relationships with students and families, and helping students grow in both knowledge and faith. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and a strong commitment to Christ-centered teaching. Responsibilities:

• Teach core subjects to a combined 4th and 5th grade class using California state standards and a Christian worldview
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to mixed grade levels
• Maintain an organized, positive, and respectful classroom environment
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, students, and colleagues
• Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and administration
• Participate in school-wide events, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development
• Integrate Biblical values and spiritual growth opportunities into daily lessons and classroom culture

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (required)
• Valid California teaching credential or equivalent certification (preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience (combo class experience is a plus)
• Willingness to sign and uphold the school’s Statement of Faith
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction for varying academic levels
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Commitment to Christ-centered education and student discipleship
