About the Role

A highly respected, long-established general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex commercial and institutional projects is seeking a talented Superintendent to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to lead field operations, drive project performance, and build positive relationships with project teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to high-quality standards
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site crews
• Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress with the project management team
• Enforce safety policies and promote a culture of safety on site
• Lead site meetings and maintain consistent communication with clients, design teams, and internal staff
• Prepare daily reports, manage field documentation, and process site changes
• Foster a collaborative and team-focused jobsite environment

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of superintendent or assistant superintendent experience, ideally on commercial or institutional construction projects
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, sequencing, and site coordination
• Effective leadership and communication skills, with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
• Familiarity with safety requirements and industry best practices
• Proficiency with construction management software is a plus
• OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to projects within Connecticut
