Job Description

As a Superintendent, you will play a critical leadership role in field operations, ensuring that projects are executed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about building exceptional spaces. You will oversee both self-performed and subcontracted work, maintain alignment with project schedules and specifications, and champion a culture of safety, quality, and excellence on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead field operations across all phases of construction, overseeing specific scopes, trade contractors, or entire projects to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety and quality across the jobsite; conduct routine safety audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and manage site logistics plans, work sequencing, and resource coordination to keep projects running efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and quality control throughout all stages of the build.
  • Drive project performance by taking ownership of timelines and budgets, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Build, maintain, and update project schedules; clearly communicate timelines and critical path items to stakeholders.
  • Mentor and manage field staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Establish strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Represent the company professionally during all internal and external meetings and communications.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all project contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements.
  • Support project financials by participating in cost tracking, staff planning, and general conditions management; understand key project KPIs.
  • Manage project close-out activities including punch lists, turnover documentation, and training.
  • Proactively identify and resolve on-site challenges, demonstrating strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field — or equivalent industry experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial construction with a proven track record of leading successful builds.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience, including mentoring and team development.
  • Strong command of construction operations, including sequencing, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Clear, effective communicator with experience managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety best practices.
  • Demonstrated alignment with company core values: accountability, innovation, resilience, teamwork, integrity, and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in construction management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, Fieldwire, PlanGrid, and Primavera P6.
