Job Requirements Listen and ask probing questions to find out what each client desires to make the event special, unique, and memorable Coordinate and facilitate the planning and execution though the Banquet Event Order and prepare a contract for all events as required Analyze requirements of wedding and related functions, determine and outline available resort facilities, negotiate prices, provide contract to client, secure deposit(s) and maintain payment schedule Communicate all details to all departments in a professional, thorough and timely manner by effectively using Banquet Event Orders and internal correspondence Respond and follow-up to all telephone, email and walk-in inquiries Anticipate and handle customer complaints and/or problems to ensure quality product delivery to client satisfaction and encourages repeat business Establish good business and social relationships with the key industry suppliers and vendors, and participate in shows/activities related to public relations to increase future sale leads Contribute to the business plan and sales strategy to grow our wedding market Requirements Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; preferred wedding coordinator experience Delphi Conference Services Management System experience a plus Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills Highly organized, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure and adapt to change Lift up to 10 pounds Valid Driver's Licenses Must be able to travel overnight EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Fourth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
