Job Summary:
Tysam Tech, LLC is seeking an Environmental Engineer II to join the team. This person will lead engineering, design, permitting, construction oversight and operational oversight for both public and private sector clients. They will evaluate site assessment data, engineer solutions, and design plans for remediation.

This person will work in our St. Croix, Virgin Islands office, but supports projects throughout the United States.


Relocation and Work Authorization:
Relocation assistance is available for qualifying candidates already residing in the United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage sample collection from hazardous and non-hazardous sites, including soil, air, surface water, groundwater, and landfill gas.
  • Oversee drilling activities involving, monitoring and well installation, borehole logging, well development, and sampling.
  • Conduct and document construction quality assurance observations to ensure compliance with construction documents.
  • Complete quality control reviews on all work product (reports, design plans, design calculations, data, etc.) prior to submission.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and clients as directed.
  • Coordinate with CAD drafters for design plans/figures or uses AutoCAD for basic design plans/ figures.
  • Prepare permit applications and/or regulatory agency submittals and responses with supporting documentation as requested.
  • Prepare calculations for reports and in support of design documents as requested.
  • Support clients with environmental regulation compliance (ex: Air Permit, TPDES, SPCC, CZM, EPCRA, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering or similar engineering degree
  • 5-10 years of experience working in the environmental field. Experience in environmental consulting is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and on track to receive PE License is preferred.
  • Stormwater Design and water/wastewater plant design experience preferred
  • Valid Drivers License with a driving record in good standing required.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $105-$125K: Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
