Job Description
We are a busy family law office looking for an experienced Law Firm Receptionist. Applicant must be very computer proficient and must be able to professionally conduct themselves when speaking to clients in person and over the phone.
Familiarity with family law is preferred.
Primary duties include:
- Answering phones
- Intake new client information
- Conducting a constant professional manner
- Taking detailed messages
- Making and returning phone calls
- Process and sort incoming mail and personally dropped documents into system
- Scheduling meetings
- Letter preparation to opposing counsel, clients, etc.
- Assisting attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials
- Constantly update the office calendar and attorney calendars
- Preparing retainer agreements for new clients
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to multitask
Preferred skills:
- Familiarity with Family Law
- Bilingual
- Excellent organizational skill
- Familiarity with legal databases. (Lexis Nexis, Essential Forms, Practice Panther, etc.)
