Our busy pediatric medical facility is actively seeking a  Front Desk Receptionist to join our dedicated team. With appointments every 30 minutes for multiple patients, we're looking for someone who thrives in an energetic office setting and takes pride in providing exceptional care to our young patients and their families.

Position Details

• Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 10:30 AM - 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families with a positive and professional demeanor upon arrival.
• Efficiently manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
• Answer a high volume of phone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments in accordance with office protocols.
• Maintain the daily appointment schedule, accounting for multiple providers operating simultaneously with back-to-back 30-minute appointments.
• Verify patient insurance information and assist with necessary pre-authorizations or billing inquiries.
• Handle administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, and maintaining an organized and clean front desk area.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure the flow of patients through the office is smooth and timely.
• Provide top-notch customer service, addressing patient concerns and coordinating with team members to resolve issues effectively.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare front desk role is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) or scheduling software is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
• A compassionate and patient-centered mindset, particularly when working with children and their families.
• High school diploma or equivalent (required); additional training or certification in healthcare administration is a bonus.
