• Process multi-state payroll with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and customer service
• Audit and recalculate employee wages and taxes based on timesheet changes and mobility requirements
• Support expatriate and inpatriate payroll functions including foreign exchange, taxable benefits, and year-end adjustments
• Reconcile intercompany payroll activity and prepare journal entries
• Drive process improvement efforts and support payroll transformation workstreams
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure proper tax setup and policy alignment
• Manage escalations and resolve complex payroll-related issues
• Ensure accurate W-2 preparation and tax reporting
• Maintain compliance with state, local, and international payroll regulations
• Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives

• 5+ years of payroll experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Deep understanding of payroll operations, including input validation and output auditing
• Familiarity with third-party payroll platforms (ADP, Ceridian, etc.); experience with Workday and SmartCompliance is a plus
• Strong Excel skills required (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Associates degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across departments
• Experience with payroll transformations or automation tools (Alteryx, Power BI, etc.) is a plus
• Experience working with international mobility payroll (e.g. tax equalization, relocation, foreign exchange) is strongly preferred
