Payroll Specialist
Remote (EST work hours)
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000

Overview of the Payroll Specialist role:

• Process and manage multi-state payroll for a large employee base, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Maintain and audit payroll records, including timekeeping data, deductions, and direct deposits, while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and deductions with professionalism and a customer-service mindset.
• Handle payroll tax responsibilities (30%), including preparation, filing, and reconciliation of federal, state, and local payroll taxes.

Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist:

• 3+ years in Payroll
• Payroll Tax experience is a PLUS
• Very comfortable with tax compliance & regulations, payroll processing, timekeeping and understand tax laws
• Excel knowledge - pivot tables/sum formulas
• Strong communicator, and someone who takes pride in their work!
