Progressive and Comprehensive Stroke Center
McLaren Health System is recruiting an Interventional Neurologist for a regional model to cover our McLaren Macomb and McLaren Flint hospitals in southeast Michigan. This fulfilling career opportunity is to join three board certified Neuro-Interventionalists as well as a Neuro-Intensivist in a very busy, career satisfying service line. Our neuroscience trained advanced practice providers support the service lines at both Flint and Macomb locations.
McLaren Macomb/Flint are Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Centers and one of the highest performing Stroke Centers in the nation. Our stroke service volumes exceeded 210 mechanical thrombectomies and 185 aneurismal repairs for 2024. This position will include a high volume of procedural and elective cases and stroke management. Employed providers are encouraged to participate in research – we are currently enrolling in 8 research studies, covering a wide range of study in advanced stroke care. Qualified candidates will be fellowship trained and board certified in Interventional Neurology, Neuro Critical Care and Stroke.

McLaren Macomb is a 288-bed tertiary teaching hospital located in Mount Clemens, Michigan. McLaren Macomb provides a full range of services, including cardiovascular care at the Mat Gaberty Heart Center, award winning cancer services at the Ted B. Wahby Cancer Center, comprehensive orthopedic services, and a state-of-the-art elective Surgery Center. McLaren Flint is a 378-bed tertiary teaching facility located in Flint, Michigan, serving the medical needs of residents in greater Genesee County and Mideast Michigan. McLaren Flint is affiliated with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in its medical residency programs including family practice, internal medicine, general surgery, and orthopedic surgery. McLaren Flint also maintains fellowship programs in clinical health psychology, vascular surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and cardiology in partnership with MSU. The hospital is certified as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, a Gold Plus Comprehensive Stroke Center (Joint Commission), and a BCBSM Blue Distinction Center+ for Spine Surgery, Cardiac Care and OB services. Mount Clemens, MI , in Southeast Michigan, boasts of a genuine downtown district as the county seat of Macomb County.
