Job Description

Job purpose:

The Process Engineer position will develop and monitor procedures to improve product throughput and to conduct a wide range of engineering related functions using general engineering principles.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Lead new equipment and new process development for multiple areas within the plant.
• Act as leader for Project Management and New Product Introduction.
• Technical resource for automation equipment, machining, welding, and stator / motor assembly operations including electrical testing and diagnostics.
• Create and maintain process documentation required for various processes.
• Provide technical support for daily operations.
• Play a significant role in manufacturing process implementation - improving safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or engineering technology, or relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing process development
• Ability to manage multiple projects of implementing new equipment and new processes from start to finish.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with all departments.
• Self-motivated 'multi-tasker' that requires minimal supervision.
• Experience in lean manufacturing.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may also be considered

Working Conditions:

• Standard work week is Monday through Friday, hours to be consistent with business unit; some off hours work may be expected.
• Generally working in office with activities in the production environment.

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Standing, sitting and/or working at a computer for extended periods of time.

• Personal Computer with job related software
• General Office Equipment
