About Snowgroup
🌐 snowgroup.ca
Snowgroup is building the first full-stack digital ecosystem for winter sports travel — transforming how 150M+ skiers and snowboarders plan, book, and experience the mountains.
Our ecosystem spans:
• Reservewinter – multi-mountain travel marketplace
• Snowclub – community + loyalty + group travel
• Snowbus – transportation wedge and acquisition engine
We’ve generated $2M+ organic traction, we’re entering a high-visibility period with our open raise, expansion into 30+ mountains, and the lead-up to the 2026 Winter Olympics, and we’re now ready to amplify our story at scale.
We’re looking for a PR lead who can take our founder comeback narrative, our rebellious mission in winter sports, and our multi-brand ecosystem — and turn it into national and international attention.
The Role
This role is for someone who lives and breathes story, momentum, and positioning.
You’ll help craft, pitch, and place Snowgroup’s narrative in the right outlets at the right time, while shaping the founder (Joktan) as a compelling comeback story in winter sports travel tech.
You’ll drive:
• Founder story positioning
• Earned media outreach
• Press relationships
• Narrative building
• Podcast + interview bookings
• Crowdfund visibility
• Social and influencer amplification
• Strategic communications during raise, expansion, and launch cycles
If you understand how to make a startup impossible to ignore, this is for you.
What You’ll Do
Founder Story + Narrative Building
• Craft the founder’s comeback arc: adversity → insight → rebellion → rebuilding → momentum
• Develop messaging frameworks, personal story angles, and press-ready bios
• Shape narrative themes around:
• Independent mountains
• Breaking the monopoly
• Community-led travel
• Transportation wedge
• The global winter ecosystem
• The run-up to the 2026 Olympics
Press Outreach + Earned Media
• Build and pitch storylines to journalists in travel, tech, sports, business, and culture
• Secure interviews, features, and opinion pieces
• Manage outbound PR calendar and rolling outreach
• Maintain and grow relationships with writers, editors, podcasts, and newsletters
Campaigns for the Raise + Expansion
• Orchestrate press around the crowdfunding launch
• Create momentum arcs tied to:
• New mountains going live
• Vendor expansion
• Snowbus activation
• Olympic-year positioning
• Coordinate stories across Snowgroup brands
Founder Visibility + Voice
• Secure podcast placements, conference interviews, AMA sessions
• Prepare founder talking points, story beats, and media responses
• Draft press releases, founder letters, key announcements
• Provide coaching + prep for interviews
Influencer + Social PR
• Build relationships with athletes, creators, ski influencers, and outdoor storytellers
• Amplify press hits and story moments across social
• Identify natural advocates and community PR opportunities
This is a lead role — not someone waiting for direction. Your job is to find angles, create heat, and push the story forward.
What We’re Looking For
• 3–7+ years in PR, communications, storytelling, or founder positioning
• Proven track record securing meaningful earned media
• Strong writing instincts and ability to capture tone + personality
• Ability to pitch, follow up, and secure coverage without babysitting
• Understanding of tech, travel, sports, or lifestyle industries
• Highly proactive, self-directed, and energetic
• Bonus if you’ve:
• Worked with founders on personal brand or comeback narratives
• Run PR for crowdfunding campaigns
• Landed placements in tech/travel/outdoor publications
• Built relationships across podcasts and creator communities
• Lived or worked within ski/snow culture
Above all: you know how to turn a founder and a company into a story people follow.
Engagement Details
• 4–8 week pilot
• Deferred compensation with potential equity/bonus post-raise
• Remote, async-friendly
• Work directly with founder + marketing
• Start date: ASAP
