Surgical Technologist – Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (PEDS CVOR)

Join our team as a specialized Surgical Technologist in the Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (PEDS CVOR), where you will support pediatric heart surgeries by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting surgeons and nurses throughout procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the pediatric cardiovascular operating room by setting up and sterilizing instruments and equipment specific to pediatric heart surgery.
• Assist surgeons during pediatric cardiovascular procedures by passing instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and anticipating surgical needs.
• Monitor and document patient information throughout procedures, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Support the surgical team in patient positioning, prepping, and post-operative care.
• Maintain and restock supplies, and ensure all equipment is functioning properly for pediatric cardiovascular cases.

Work Environment:

• The role is based in hospital pediatric cardiovascular operating rooms or surgical centers.
• This position requires attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work with children and families in high-stress surgical situations.
