Job Purpose

The TSA and Cargo Security Coordinator will provide support to U.S. locations in ensuring compliance with cargo security regulations, TSA IAC (Indirect Air Carrier) requirements, and CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) protocols. Additionally, they will oversee and implement security best practices across the company. The role is part of the Regulatory Compliance team and reports directly to the Security Officer.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with U.S. TSA regulations
• Conduct internal TSA and cargo security audits using the internal shipping management system, validating KSMS and known shipper status
• Provide bi-monthly reports on TSA compliance status through a metrics scorecard and communicate updates to line management
• Manage TSA and security training programs for multiple facilities
• Oversee the submission of STA (Security Threat Assessment) applications for multiple locations
• Offer daily guidance on known shipper information and IAC processes
• Report and escalate security concerns, emergencies, and TSA inspections promptly
• Assist with facility security and safety inspections

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university, or equivalent business experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook
• Ability to effectively present and conduct training sessions for large groups
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with respect for others and a reputation of being well-respected by peers
• Comfortable working independently and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. and international cargo security programs and best practices
• In-depth understanding of TSA requirements, screening facility management, and TAPA (Transported Asset Protection Association)
• Ability to easily interpret and apply complex TSA regulations, laws, and concepts
• Ability to anticipate potential outcomes and take proactive measures to prepare for contingencies
• Familiarity with the KSMS website; knowledge of the Veroot website is a plus
