AvMed, a division of Sentara Health Plans in the Florida market, is hiring a Wellness Health Coach in Fort Lauderdale Beach, FL! This is a full-time permanent position (40 hours) with standard working hours from 8am to 5pm EST, Monday through Friday. The role is on-site located in Fort Lauderdale Beach to work with the client, Marriot Corporate, requiring travel within a one-mile radius of three Fort Lauderdale Beach properties (Harbor Beach Marriot, W Fort Lauderdale Beach, Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale Beach). The Wellness Health Coach is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating health education programs based on behavioral objectives with defined measurable outcomes. The role involves providing quality services and programs to meet identified needs of targeted populations of different learning abilities and maintaining knowledge of national preventive health issues and strategies to function as a resource in preventive health, health maintenance, and health promotion. Education required is a Master Level Degree in Health Education, Nursing, or a related field. Experience required includes previous management experience, business acumen, and 5 years in health education programs. Bilingual English/Creole and/or English/Spanish is preferred. Certification required includes Cert Health Education Specialist (CHES) or other health education-based certification through the National Wellness Institute, Wellness Councils of America, Registered Dietitian (RD), or Registered Nurse (RN).
