Location:

Washington, D.C. Metro / Capital Region  must be within a commutable distance to Herndon/Chantilly, VA and a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.

Clearance : U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD or IC security clearance (Secret or higher) required; TS/SCI with polygraph preferred.

About the Role:

The SAP NS2 Cloud Advisory Architect is a senior, customer-facing expert responsible for guiding Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) organizations through their enterprise transformation journey to RISE with SAP Private Cloud and S/4HANA.

This role combines deep technical knowledge with strategic advisory skills to help customers define their cloud strategy, enterprise architecture, and modernization roadmap. The Cloud Advisory Architect leads technical discovery, architecture design, and transformation planning, aligning SAP Business Suite capabilities with mission, compliance, and performance objectives.

You will act as a trusted advisor and orchestrator across SAP, partners, and hyperscaler ecosystems, ensuring successful cloud adoption and long-term mission value.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical and cloud advisory point of contact for DoD and IC customers pursuing ERP and enterprise modernization.
• Present and articulate the RISE with SAP Private Cloud, S/4HANA Cloud, Extended Edition, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) offerings to customer and partner stakeholders.
• Conduct cloud strategy and architecture workshops to assess current-state landscapes, define target-state architectures, and create actionable modernization roadmaps.
• Design secure and compliant end-to-end cloud architectures leveraging SAP Business Suite solutions deployed on AWS, Azure, or GCP hyperscaler environments.
• Advise customers on security, compliance, business continuity, and operational governance within regulated and classified cloud environments.
• Collaborate with system integrators, hyperscaler partners, and SAP Professional Services to co-develop and validate migration and deployment approaches.
• Support technical due diligence and bid processes, including architecture documentation, pricing inputs, and technical proposal development.
• Lead technical deep dives, design sessions, and executive briefings to align cloud architectures with mission objectives and operational constraints.
• Oversee end-to-end cloud solution integrity—from discovery to/through delivery handoff—ensuring alignment with SAP NS2’s secure cloud frameworks and best practices.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal account teams and customers, driving innovation adoption and continuous improvement in cloud operations.

Requirements / Must Haves

• 8-10 years of SAP technical consulting, solution architecture, or enterprise transformation experience, with a focus on cloud-based delivery models.
• Proven expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Suite, and RISE with SAP Private Cloud.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, virtualization, and hyperscaler operations (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience developing target-state architectures, migration roadmaps, and multi-year modernization strategies for large-scale ERP environments.
• Deep familiarity with DoD Cloud Computing SRG, FedRAMP High, RMF, and Zero Trust frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Basis, HANA, NetWeaver, and system lifecycle management (migrations, upgrades, availability, and performance).
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior executive, technical, and mission audiences.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams across SAP, customers, partners, and cloud providers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering ERP modernization or S/4HANA migration programs within DoD, IC, or other federal mission environments.
• In-depth understanding of cloud security, encryption, identity management, and compliance in classified or regulated domains.
• Experience integrating SAP with hyperscaler-native services for monitoring, automation, and scalability.
• Certifications such as SAP Certified Technology Consultant, SAP Activate Project Manager, or TOGAF Enterprise Architect.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Architect.
• Familiarity with RISE engagement models, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Business Technology Platform.

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or Business Administration from an accredited institution.
• Advanced degrees or certifications in SAP technology, enterprise architecture, or cloud computing and hyperscalers are highly desirable.

Compensation Range Transparency : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 194100 - 411600(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
